As most of you probably know by now, our wonderful, talented organist Chiemi has been in Japan since the beginning of December. Her mother has cancer and has been hospitalized for many weeks, and her father is experiencing ill health as well. Chiemi is an only child and is there for an extended period of time taking care of both of her parents.

What I have always said about the music ministry at Floral Heights is that "God has blessed us with folks with marvelous talent." I want to personally  thank Melissa Birk and Jason Murphy for playing for the worship services during the month of December and January, and Debbie Renton for acconpaning the Chancel Choir and other soloists. Jason will be heading back to SMU soon, so Debbie will continue as accompanist for he Chancel, Youth and Wesley Choirs, Melissa will play for our 8:30 and 10:50 worship services each week. Vicki Seigler and Susan Krusekopf have agreed to take over as leaders of the Chancel Ringers. Sherry Helmcamp will continue leading the Wesley Ringers.

I would ask that you keep Chiemi in your daily prayers as she fids hereself at home, but far from the home she has known the last thirteen years. Please keep the music ministry in your prayers as wel, that God will continue to bless this ministry as we strive to move the hearts and minds of htis congregation closer to Christ Himself. As always, I thinak this congregation for your continued love and support.
