Helping Hands at the Heights
Childcare for Families with Special Needs
Helping Hands at the Heights is a ministry of Floral Heights UMC that offers free child care for families that have children with special needs. Trained volunteers, many with special education experience in the public school, provide a safe and fun environment in which children with special needs and their siblings choose from a variety of activities based on the information received from a parent interview.
The volunteers of Helping Hands at the Heights recognize that there are special challenges to raising children with special needs and we seek to help by providing parents a night out while their children are cared for in a fun safe place.
