Heights Kids – Sunday Activities
 
Sunday Mornings:   Believe in God; Believe also in me.  John 14:1
    9:30-10:30 a.m.       Nursery – birth through 3 years old
           Sunday School classes - 3 years through 5th grade       
                  Confirmation Class – 6th graders and older
                          Special Needs Class – 9:30-12:00

The Nursery provides a safe, fun place for younger children to a part of the church experience during Sunday School and Church Worship Services.  Pre-k through 5th grade classes use Live Big Curriculum supplemented with other activities throughout the year.  Third graders receive their own Bible, so the 2nd and 3rd grade class emphasizes an intentional introduction to and study of the Bible.  The 4th and 5th grade classes continue to emphasize the knowledge and use of the Bible as a tool to grow in faith and relationship with Jesus Christ.  Students in the confirmation class explore Christian beliefs as found in scripture, becoming full members of their church in May.  The special needs class is for children who are unable to participate in other classes due to various disabilities.

Children’s Church:  Sunday morning:  10:50-12:00  

Children meet in the sanctuary with their families.  Following the Children’s Time, they are escorted upstairs to participate in age appropriate activities related to that weeks sermon.  Children’s Church does not occur on the 1st Sunday of each month so that families may participate in communion together. 
Sanctuary Activity Packets are provided for children who remain with their parents in the Sanctuary.

Acolytes: 3rd – 6th graders

Participate during worship services by bring the light of Christ into the service.

Help the ministers serve communion on the first Sunday of the month.  Acolytes bring the Light of Christ out into the world.
